Rubery Day Nursery
Hedgehog Room
The Baby room will provide individual care to suit your child and your requirements. We will follow your baby’s routine as closely as we can. Alongside activities, experiences and lots of play, all comfort and cuddles your baby wants will be given.
There is a separate outside area which has soft flooring for the babies so they can play outside safely.We work alongside parents to get to know you and your child.
Your child will have a daily diary which staff and parents/carers add to, though we aim to communicate verbally with you as much as we can.
Parents are asked to provide your own milk, nappies, wipes and creams.
Squirrel Room
From Hedgehog room the children progress through when they are steady on their feet and need new challenges and experiences.
Your child will continue with their daily diary, have lots of fun as they acquire new skills and knowledge. As always cuddles are still important.
Badger Room
When your child is a confident toddler Badger room is for them.
Having fun with role play, expressing themselves in language and building on previous experiences will help them to prepare for the Wise Owls room.
Wise Owls Room
In this room, as well as encouraging the children to create and understand their own boundaries, we encourage them to be kind to and respect their peers and adults around them.
Self registration is a positive independence booster, along with making choices throughout their day. As is the ethos in the nursery both indoor and outdoor areas are set up daily and supervised, giving children the opportunity to choose their own learning environment.
